The Cusco Night.....

Strolling into the main piazza in the evening is. Delight. The Cathedrals hauntingly quiet as the stand guard over the south and west of he square. The other two sides are 2 story older structures with restaurants interesting enough on the second floor and shops on the ground floor. I spend some time just sitting on the bench in the square taking in all of my surroundings.
Ok, time now to eat so I walk around the square until I come to Paddy's Pub on a side street. The first thing you notice before you take the stairs up a flight is Paddy's manifesto of being the highest 100% owned Irish Pub on the Planet at 11,156 feet.
The inside is decorated if you can call it that with an array of different posters, frames photos a letter from Bono and a poster supporting the Obama/Biden ticket. There is a lovely dark wood carved bar and a number of sewing tables used for patrons and church pews for sitting. A wonderful lively place with good food, music and booze.
