I arrive, finally

After a three and a half layover in Miami, we took off at about 12:30am. First class on American to Miami was wonderful, from Miami to Lima not so wonderful. Except for the larger seats, the plane was an older model and it showed. Whereas every seat to Miami was a sleeper seat with a TV and free movies in every seat. The flight to Lima had none of those amenities.

I scheduled a cap pick up at the office and after about a half hour trek through rush hour we arrive at the hotel. My hotel is in the historic city center of Cuzco down the street from the central plaza. The hotel person greets me and sits me in a comfortable lounge and offers with some coca tea which helps with the altitude issues. The coca tea has small properties of cocaine which acts as a stimulant to combat altitude sickness, NICE!!! The tea tastes somewhat sweet but I added sugar to give myself an extra boost. boost. I fill out the required paperwork and am taken to my room.

I am escorted to room 206 which is a lovely single room with a queen bed, excellent bathroom and most important awesome Wifi. After unpacking and figuring my outlets for recharging gadgets, i take to the bed. I am exhausted so I undress and lay down while listening to music. I nod off to sleep for about an hour then watch some stuff on Netflix. I paid for a VPN service which is Virtual Private Network that routes your connection through the USA so you can watch and visit websites like Netflix that normally you could not. It also allows you to surf the web anonymously so no one can track your whereabouts.

Somewhat rested and ready to head out..so here are so photos.photos before I head out......
