Well maybe not last as I will come back for a night after the Galapagos Islands. I took a taxi to Plaza San Blas which was nothing interesting. I got my bearings and made a long uphill walk to the Basilica. It was for sure an impressive site in the Gothic Architectural tradition of the churches in Europe. Ribbed vault ceilings, huge columns with a main walk way and two side naves. The Basilica was impressively large and with beautiful stained glass windows. In fact, I believe it was the first church I can remember being impressed with the stained glass.
I walked along a commercial street stop to snap a photo of a home depot like place ten made my way to their theater to see if anything was playing for tonight. Nothing was going on. I kept walking in a straight line towards the Plaza Grande. I stopped for a shrimp and rice lunch that was delicious. I headed back toward the room to relax before going out in the night.....
